Though they might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think about important components of your vehicle, its gaskets play a crucial role in allowing your engine to function correctly. Engine gaskets provide crucial seals that allow for the maintenance of pressure in your engine. They also allow for your engine to hold in fluids and they stop debris from being able to enter into the engine. Their overall role in engine performance cannot be understated.

There are four types of gaskets that are involved in allowing your engine to perform at peak capacity. These include:

Main Bearing Gaskets - These gaskets ensure that your engine oil stays in the oil pan as the crankshaft moves.

Intake Manifold Gaskets - Your engine's intake manifold gaskets provide a seal between the cylinder head and the intake manifold.

Cylinder Head Gaskets - Your cylinder head gaskets are crucial to engine performance as they seal the firing pressure of the cylinder. They also prevent engine oil and coolant from being able to leak into your engine's cylinders.

Camshaft Gaskets - Camshaft gaskets play the important role of preventing oil from leaking out of the camshaft of your engine.
