The transition into November means Junction City and Fort Riley drivers are focused on three main things: celebrating Military Appreciation Month, locking in year-end deals, and preparing their vehicles for Kansas winter.

To help you navigate this busy season, we’ve compiled five of the most unique and most-searched questions we hear - covering everything from exclusive savings and promotions to winter driving safety. Read our quick summaries, find the resources you need, and then visit us right here in Junction City to see why we stand by our motto: "No Games - Total Savings!"

1. How can I take advantage of the maximum savings during Military Appreciation Month?

November is Military Appreciation Month, and we are proud to show our gratitude to the dedicated members of the Junction City and Fort Riley communities. This year, we are offering an extra $250 bonus on top of the already generous $500 Military Appreciation Discount, totaling $750 in extra savings on eligible new Chevrolet vehicles. We consider it the least we can do for those who serve.

2. When is the best time to purchase a New Chevrolet during the "Red Tag Sales Event"?

Right now! November is the heart of our nationwide Chevy Red Tag Sales Event, which is one of the year's most significant opportunities to purchase a new vehicle. This event focuses on year-end inventory clearance, meaning manufacturers offer some of their most aggressive incentives, including special financing offers and bonus cash, to clear out current model-year stock. For the greatest selection and the most value on a new Chevrolet car, truck, or SUV, schedule your visit before the end of the month.

3. Can I rely only on AWD or 4WD to keep me safe on icy Junction City roads?

It's a common misconception that having All-Wheel Drive (AWD) or Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) - which is common on Chevy models like the Traverse and Silverado - makes your vehicle fully "winter-proof." These systems are excellent because they help you accelerate and go by maximizing traction to the wheels that have grip. However, they do not help you stop or turn. Braking and cornering on ice or packed snow depend entirely on your tires.

Since your tires are the single most critical safety component in winter, ensure their tread and pressure are in excellent condition. For a limited time, we are running our Buy 3 Tires, Get 1 for $1 special, making it the perfect opportunity to upgrade your safety before the first major snow.

4. What are the three non-negotiable items for a winter emergency kit in my car?

As you drive through the Flint Hills or commute near Fort Riley, winter weather can change fast, and preparedness is key. We recommend you keep an emergency kit in your vehicle, especially if you drive a pre-owned model. The three non-negotiable items are:

1. Warmth: A blanket, extra gloves, and a hat.

2. Traction: A bag of sand or non-clumping cat litter (for placing under spinning tires).

3. Communication & Visibility: A fully charged power bank/charger for your phone, a flashlight with extra batteries, and reflective triangles or flares.

Community Spotlight: Proud to Support Geary County

While we’re focused on keeping your Chevrolet running smoothly, our commitment to the Junction City community extends far beyond the lot.

We were honored to partner with Sheridan Elementary School and support their incredible "Trick Or Treat So Others Can Eat" drive! This amazing effort by the students, staff, and community collected a phenomenal 1,400lbs of food for the Food Pantry of Geary County. We were proud to donate a vehicle and our time to act as a "food wagon" for pick-up. This is what community is all about, and we extend a big "Great job, Stallions!" to the students for their giving hearts.
