TORQUE TALKS: SPRING EDITION

Hey everyone! If you’re new here, welcome to the Jim Clark Blog page. Spring marks a new chapter, and with that, a new way we’re bringing the latest and greatest updates to you. For those of you who aren’t already familiar, allow me to introduce myself as your new blog host. I’m Torque the Tiger, the official unofficial mascot for the dealership. Think of me as your tour guide for all things Jim Clark Chevrolet and Flint Hills area happenings.

Spring has Sprung
Into.. Summer?
During my time in Junction City, well, Kansas in general.. I can’t remember a March as toasty as this one. And are you really a true Kansan if you don’t talk about the weather at least once a day? To those of you that are new to the Fort Riley area, I can assure you that the heat spikes this early in the year are abnormal. However, going straight from Winter to Summer usually isn’t. In fact, did you know we have 13 seasons here in Kansas? It’s true, just take a look at the photo above.
With actual Spring being short lived, and the Pollening lasting what seems like an eternity. Still, despite the pollen trying to take us out one by one, it is nice seeing the Flint Hills start to come alive.

March B&A
Here at the dealership, we like to celebrate our team’s Birthdays and Work Anniversaries. These are the hard working folks that keep this place running, and we appreciate everything they do. We hope it was a fantastic month for all of you!
You also might’ve noticed our Executive Manager, Willie Thornberg, celebrated 40 YEARS at Jim Clark Chevrolet! That’s not the only thing Mr. Thornberg had to celebrate this month, though. Congrats to the newlyweds! We couldn’t be happier for Willie & Trish. ♥

New to the Showroom
Check out what just hit the showroom! They say tigers are the king of the jungle but, this one might just be king of the asphalt. Alright I admit it, I didn’t get to drive the ‘vette. Something about how I couldn’t “reach the pedals”. But hey, my loss is your gain! Whether you’re thinking about being the coolest cat on the block, or if you’ve just always wanted to see a Corvette in person, stop by and say hi! And if you’re feeling generous, could I ride shotgun?

Outstanding Citizen Award
We’re honored to announce that one of our own, Ron Johnson, received the “Outstanding Citizenship Award” from the Junction City Chamber of Commerce. We couldn’t be more thrilled about the recognition of making his town a better place through hard work and community involvement. His investments include the USD #475 Board of Education, JC Optimist International Club, Junction City Brigade, CL Hoover Opera House Board, Wheels of Hope/Geary County Food Pantry, JC Area Chamber of Commerce, Geary County Economic Development Committee, and JC Proud cleanups, just to name a few. We could all learn a thing or two from Ron about what it means to serve our community, well done!
